Well…On Monday night our farm went from this:
To this (within minutes):
Only one person was injured in the tornado, but he’s on the mend thankfully!!
THANK YOU to all those who have volunteered and pitched in to help the last couple of days. From hauling the cows off the farm (all through the night), providing food, clean-up, babysitting… and most importantly prayer! It’s humbling to be the recipients of such generosity! We are honored to live in such a caring and giving community!
We don’t know what the future holds. We are just taking the next logical step. First, it was make sure our employees were okay, then, it was to get the cows to other farms, next, it was sleep (many were going on 36 hours of being awake), after that, we needed to have our insurance come and evaluate, now, the clean-up process begins. Next, well, we aren’t there yet.
We quite obviously do not know what we are doing, but we serve a God who does! He’s carried us through this far, we’re confident He’ll carry us through the rest (whatever that is)!
Clinging to these verses today:
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, And shall trust in the LORD. Psalm 40: 2 – 3
Hopefully, in the near future we’ll have time to post more pictures. Until then, keep on keeping on, friend!
My heart hurts for you. Prayers for all involved, decisions, and to feel God’s peace and strength. Blessings, Melody Bowman(Billy’s mom)
