Here we are, staring straight into the face of a new year. The words “roots” and “wings” keep coming to my mind as I think about this coming year.
What are the things that “ground” you?
What are your hopes and dreams?
Each life is going to amount to something. Some of your life is what you make of it, and some of it is handed to you. There is no cookie-cutter equation for a life well-lived. What I’m finding is that a life well-lived is a life with good balances. You need humility mixed with courage, love balanced with restraint, faith plus common sense, victories mingled with losses, good days alongside hard days, roots as well as wings…
Here in 2019, let’s make sure we are rooted in “good soil”! Cultivate the beauty and prune the weaknesses. Let’s have common sense, but don’t let fear clip our wings. Let’s be well-grounded, but not afraid to spread our wings and fly.
2019 here we come!
